Rihanna Rogue Fragrance Ad Censored for Being ‘Sexually Suggestive’
Rihanna causes more controversy with her new fragrance ad for Rogue perfume which has received criticism from the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). The ASA is ‘the UK’s independent regulator of of advertising across all media.” According to The Guardian, the organization thought the steamy fragrance ad was too “sexually suggestive.”
The ad features the singer sitting against a wall with her legs raised onto to giant bottle of perfume. “While we did not consider the image to be overtly sexual, we considered that Rihanna’s pose, with her legs raised in the air, was provocative,” said the ASA. “Because of this, and the fact that Rihanna appeared to be naked except for high heels, we concluded that the ad was sexually suggestive and should have been given a placement restriction to reduce the possibility of it being seen by children.” The ASA decided that the ad must not be used without placement restriction to reduce the possibility of it being viewed by children.

J.Lo is Sexy & Smoldering For Billboard Magazine July 2014 Issue
On her love life: “Things have changed so much for me. I had to really do some soul searching and just realize a lot of things about love, and now I feel like I come from a place where I’m stronger and, I think, better.”
On her singing abilities: “I never put myself out there to show the world what I could do [it] in the best way I could. And touring, you gain a lot when you go out there every night and sing when you feel good, or even when your voice is scratchy and you feel a little off. It made me want to get back into the studio without that cage I had put on myself. Once I let that beast loose, I was doing things I didn’t know I could do.”
On her career: “I don’t feel like I have anything to prove anymore.”
